Ok, so the word is out. I have a blog. Yes, that’s right I write and share, from time to time. You knew that though, didn’t you? Below is a post I made on my social media account today acknowledging this blog and what I hope to gain from it. It is a simple post, but it is sincere and honest. I’m not fearful of anyone that reads my blog. I’m also not ashamed of anything I post. I suppose enjoying some anonymity over the past months has allowed me to become more comfortable in telling my story. I just wanted you to know that I am a real person, living in a community of people just trying to live their best life. Thank you, for all your support. JFTS
“Ok, So the word is out. I’ve been writing for a while now. Recently, I decided to begin sharing some of what I write. I write, mostly, for me. This process is one of the most cathartic experiences I’ve ever been privileged to participate in. As an individual working in the Social Services field for 25 years, I’ve seen and experienced a lot and been fortunate to help may people through their own life challenges.
For those that don’t know, I am a classically educated and trained mental health professional. I hold a Graduate and undergraduate degree in my field. I am surrounded by 100+ of the kindest and most influential social services and mental health professionals daily. And with that, from time to time I still struggle with life events, especially with Loss of those I love. So, blogging my thoughts has been extremely helpful for me to grow through my own life challenges. If you wish, feel free to go look at my blog. Feel free to Like, Comment, Share, Subscribe, whatever you want. I appreciate you and anything you wish to say, as long as it is positive and intended to be helpful to me and those that read my rants. Thank you. Joe from the South.”
