Thoughts from a guy named Joe. Simply trying to live life the best way he can.

Happy Birthday, Adam

Today would have been your birthday. I miss you deeply. If had my way, we would likely be celebrating somewhere in a large metropolitan city surrounded by all the sounds and commotion and the frenetic people with their hurried lives. The big city we both enjoyed so much. We would probably have a great meal and possibly see a show and then we would end our evening perfectly. Together. I would probably have my head on your shoulder, or you mine and we would simply share our experiences of the week. At least, That’s the way I believe this day would have been. Today, without you, I choose to celebrate still. I celebrate the gift of love and happiness you gave me. I celebrate the gift of your, so very precious time, you gave me. I celebrate the memories we made.

November 14 will always hold a particularly emotional spot in my heart and soul. Emotional, not because it is your birthday, but because we aren’t together to celebrate you. I know you are happy and at Peace now. Me, maybe not so much. BUT I promise you I AM trying. I am, really.

Happy Birthday, Adam. I Love you.
